Themes reflecting reality have always been Sanjay Ram’s forte. The ‘Thoothukudi’ and ‘Veeramum Eeramum’ director is now busy making ‘Karuvarai Kuttravaligal’, a film whose title itself speaks a lot.

The movie is based on the lives of 12 real-life criminals and will be narrated by a retired police officer. Each story will be presented from a media perspective, according to Sanjay Ram.

“Criminals are not born. They are made. ‘Karuvarai Kuttravaligal’ will discuss on this subject. I have tried my best to present the film as real as possible,” says the director, shedding more light on the project.

The movie will bring on screen the lives of ‘Gate’ Kumar, ‘Thotam’ Sekar and 10 others. “Enough care was taken while picking the subjects of 12 gangsters since the subject is so sensitive,” the filmmaker adds.
